Has anyone been to Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay? If so, would you recommend or not?

My son spent a week there on his honeymoon and he really loved it.Its a little bit of a bus ride from the airport and you will go through some places that really look dilapidated and dangerous, but when you get to the resort, it’s really nice and hard to believe you are in the same vicinity.He just recommends yo stay with groups and stay on the resort.Its just like anywhere else I guess.Mexico has really gotten bad they say.Good Luck and Happy trails!!!!!

If you like vacationing on an island full scum bags, drug dealers, ****** and worse.
No one in Jamaica takes a bath, it smells like goat everywhere!
God help you if you need medical care. You’ll come back in a body bag!

I went and it was awesome [late 2006]
The resort has a nice vibe about it and the staff is courteous. The beach is nice, especially the clothing-optional one, and I really really did get a nice tan line.
The one problem I have is that the resort has no restaurants or anything open late in the night. By midnight to 1am everything closed down and the outside was empty. I hated going back to my room so soon. They do have a club, though… and it was closed too.
