My fiance and I are planning to elope in Ouha, Hawaii?

Any advice on beach weddings or knowledge of Ouha resorts/photographers/ministers etc would be appreciated.

Better get the spelling right (Oahu) or you’re going to end up in some place like Uzbekistan. Here are a couple of sites to check out:

I got married in Cancun Mexico on a Gazebo overlooking the Ocean. We didn’t exactly elope, my parents came but no one else. We had some family members on my husbands side that were upset with us. But, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. It was so beautiful and stress free… no stress of the big wedding and reception. All I had to do was pick out my bouquet, flowers, and music I wanted. The resort took care of everything else. I also, arrived to the wedding gazebo via horse drawn carriage. I had so much fun and the wedding photos were so beautiful with the blue ocean behind us!

My advise would be to keep your wedding dress simple and light.. because it’s hot out there in tropical paradise! When I was looking for my wedding dress I let the sales person know my plans and she helped me pick out dresses that were made of light/breathable materials. My husband wore a suit rather than a Tux. He was a little hot but he kept his jacket on until the photos were over with. Also, be careful with your hair. If your getting married by the ocean it’s windy… My bobby pins started to fall out and I had a number of photos where my hair was in my face.

Anyway… have fun, good luck and congratulations
