Useful Tips for Your Vacation to Hawaii

Just imagine yourself on a tropical beach enjoying the sun. Can you anticipate the stress relief you’d feel being away from the everyday grind? A Hawaii vacation will allow you to have that respite.

You may prefer traveling to only one of the islands or maybe you may want to look at spending some time on all six. Each of the islands has something distinct to offer.

When planning a vacation to Hawaii, you may choose to travel to one specific of the islands or make plans to visit more than just that one island.

The island of Oahu boasts famed Waikiki Beach, the state capital of Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor where you will be able to visit the USS Arizona memorial. Most travelers opt for Oahu when going to the Islands for their first time. It is not only the busiest Hawaiian Island and the one most visited by tourists, but it is best for sightseeing if you are interested in history. You’ll likely have to spend a little time here during your Hawaii vacation, since the majority of flights to and from the Hawaii Islands use Honolulu as a hub.

Just north of Oahu, you will find the island of Kauai. Kauai is the oldest island in Hawaii. You’ll find a great deal of natural beauty and plenty of choices for charming escapades and outdoor attractions. The Coconut Coast features golden sand shorelines and the opposite part of the island is Waimea Canyon. This canyon is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

To the south of Oahu is the island on Molokai, which is home to a sizable number of native Hawaiians who’ve remained closely connected to their culture and traditional way of life.

Our next island in the chain is Lanai. This island does not have even one traffic light and life is slower here than in the other islands. On Lanai are found two prestigious golf courses.

Even though larger than the other islands, Maui is significantly smaller than the Big Island. Maui features several of the best beaches found anywhere and affords opportunities for viewing humpback whales.

The Big Island of Hawaii is, as you’d expect, the biggest island in the archipelago. For that matter it’s larger than all of Hawaii’s islands combined, and it includes 11 of the 13 climatic zones of the world. Among its numerous sights are mountains capped with snow, an active volcano and beautiful sandy shorelines. The Big Island is a must on anyone’s list of Hawaiian vacation choices and also very good if you’re looking for affordable real estate.

In case you are unable to decide upon the island you will want to visit, then try all of them. It is possible to book cheap Hawaii cruises starting at Honolulu and then spending 1.5 days on each island. You will spend the nights on the luxury cruise liner, and enjoy the very best that the Hawaii archipelago offers.

Of course, if you want to sleep on land, then there’s a fabulous choice of hotels and Hawaii condo rentals for you to choose from. They’re reasonably priced and are found all over the Islands.
