The most beautiful area (in my opinion) is Southern Bavaria.
There are many lakes, like the
    Chiemsee (the largest one)http://www.chiemsee.com
    Tegernsee
    Königssee

Also the town of Munich is very interesting and beautiful.

    Famous for the “Weißwurst”:
    the Oktoberfest:

    and the famous soccer-teams:
    Bayern München (Bundesliga)
    1860 München (Second League)
    SpVgg Unterhaching (Second League)

    have to look here:

I know the reihn-ruhr industrial zone (norht-west) is very important, as well as Hamburg is one of the most important ports.
And i would say for me the most beautiful place in Germany is the North See, spectacular. Actually where ever you go you find nice things, history and nature, culture. (i love the cities of Dresden and Erfurt) I like Germany very much (i`ve been living here for almost 2 years and i am “almost” married with a german)
Beach resort? I do not think there is one, never heard of it. Mostly the people go to the see as wellness or family trips. But not in a –beach, water sports, suntan, Miami way–. I may be wrong, but never heard of it. People go to Spain or Croatia for example.
If you want to promote business go to a consulate or the german embassy i am sure there you can get the info you need.

I wouldn’t call it a resort ( in the sense we think of it ),but there are some wonderful places on the North Sea, where on can have a wonderfully relaxing time. There are islands to see and enjoy, i.e. Spiekerooge, Wangerooge Helgoland ( must see )among others. The coastal area is full of little Hamlets to explore. A favorite of many people from the Rhineland is a little “town” on the North Sea called Schillig, nice beach.
    Check for more info.
