Sheraton Waikiki and The Royal Hawaiian are Both Fabulous…with The Royal Hawaiian being the more “Old World Hawaiian” and Authentic…They both have top Notch rooms..and Both are located Directly on Waikiki Beach…right next to each other..I have stayed at both but prefer the Outrigger On The Beach next door to The Royal Hawaiian on one side and the Moana on the other(I haven’t personally stayed at The Moana…but friends and family have and it is Beautiful…the Sheraton PK I cannot speak for(except to say it is NOT right on the Beach).Any one of these you choose you will be Happy With!!! ALOHA and Happy Travels!!!

I haven’t stayed at The Royal Hawaiian yet. Sheraton Waikiki has nice big rooms. It is right on the beach and has its own parking structure. Same for the Moana Surfrider, but it shares a parking structure with Sheraton PK, which is just across the street. Moana Surfrider, aka “the First Lady of Waikiki”, was renovated when they became a Westin Resort. I love the look of the hotel with its tall pillars and rocking chairs on the front porch. I am a little biased though seeing as how my mom works there.

The Royal Hawaiian. There is a straight walk from the Hotel to the beach probably like 20 ft. Its also sort of expensive so it has nice rooms. And the whole hotel is nice, hope I helped

Tough question. The Moana Surfrider is a small very intimate hotel compared to the others. The Royal Hawaiian is also small but larger than the Moana. Plus it’s right next to the Sheraton Waikiki so it’s get’s very overshadowed (literally, you can’t see the sunset). The Waikiki and the Princess are both very large hotels and thus come with all the amenities of large hotels, but they’re not very intimate and not very “Hawaiian.” The Moana is on the beach, next to Duke’s, has a large courtyard, and the best (the best) all you can eat buffet in town. It’s one of the older Waikiki hotels so it’s quite nostalgic as well. Too many talking points. Just go to the Moana,

Royal Hawaiian. Has the most history. Been on the travel channel. Has the best Mai Tai’s.

The Moana is the prettiest hotel in all of Waikiki. I’ve never had the pleasure of staying there overnight but have been to a few wedding receptions and Sunday brunches there. It’s fabulous plus it’s right on the beach.
